WebAVL is an Internet based Mobile Resource Management (MRM) program that operates through a web browser to provide a high-level vehicle/asset tracking and reporting system. As a 24/7 off-site service and using low cost, civilian standard positioning GPS (Global Positioning Satellite) technology to provide accurate information, WebAVL collects location and status conditions sent by remote AVL devices through a wireless network.
A user, using a PC with Internet access, simply logs in to WebAVL using a secure login account. WebAVL utilizes the latest in database and GIS (Geographical Information Systems) technology, which provides users with two key features: real-time & historical displays of vehicle locations on street maps and the ability to generate comprehensive reports.
